About Our Research Group

We are a research group for quantum computer science, primarily focusing on quantum computing. In contrast to conventional (or classical) computing, which is based on Boolean algebra on binary registers, quantum information theory presents quantum logic on qubit registers. This is the key to quantum computing. On a quantum processor, information is encoded on qubits and manipulated using quantum logic-based algorithms.

We are also interested in other quantum technologies, and we are researching the quantum heat engine cycles, which is the quantum counterpart of classical heat engine cycles.
